Music at Trinity
Trinity Church possesses a historic American tracker organ of 19th century design, built by Bernard Mudler. It stood in a church in Camden, NJ for almost a century. In 2002, the dismantled components were purchased and trucked to Port Townsend. After much work repairing and restoring the organ by Stanley Goddard, a site in the sanctuary was prepared and it was installed and played for the first time on July 1, 2004.
This organ is now in excellent condition and has a charming voice which will be recorded in 2009 as part of a historic organ program
by the American Guild of Organists. Click here to read more about the Mudler organ.
In 2006, Ed and Lorraine Newman made the very generous donation of the beautiful Petrov grand piano which sits in the sanctuary near the Mudler organ.

Organ builders, Stan Goddard and Harry Takata at work on a second organ of the baroque period. The organ pipes and wind chest are being built in the unused choir loft space. The organ's design is inspired by organs from eastern Germany. Click here to read more about the project.
